Job Purpose The Sr. Maintenance Planner works closely with the Maintenance supervisors companywide to plan, coordinate and schedule various maintenance and repair projects to ensure the continuous operation and reliable performance of the production equipment, and other assets across all value streams and manufacturing facilities. Collaborates with other departments and divisions to manage work priorities, develop job plans, identify the necessary resources (parts, materials, supplies, skillset, and personnel) to complete projects. Daily manages and maintains the CMMS information and updates. Assists in development and management of programs, documentation, training, and parts lists.

- Partners with Maintenance supervisors to provide daily guidance to support maintenance efforts.
- Supports Maintenance Manager in driving PM Compliance, Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), trend analysis, and project resource planning.
- Provides training and support of the CMMS operations company wide.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level across all facilities
- Coordinate plant-wide shutdowns Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders
- Adjust schedules to account for emergency work
- Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors
- Support management in the scheduling and assigning of work. Manage work orders in the system, ensure proper creation, planning, update, and closure of work orders.
- Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Develop and maintain accuracy of equipment metadata by regularly collecting and inputting information, such as manufacturer, model, serial number, and system structure information. The data is maintained in CMMS and equipment is labeled/barcoded or identifiable in the facility.
- Develop and maintain accuracy of Work Order related data: Adding Equipment to PM Plans, Schedules, and Work Packages, Defining Scheduled due dates or initial meter points of system generated WOs.
- Coach and educate staff on the CMMS functions and best practices for performing tasks.
- Work with Maintenance team to develop and maintain lists of critical spares.
- Manage and maintain parts inventory, critical spare lists, and alignment between the maintenance department and stock room
- Develop and maintain accuracy of spare parts data by regularly collecting and inputting information, such as supplier, catalog number, min/max quantities, pricing, manufacturer, and part numbers.
- Drive materials management process in the facilities store, including but not limited to: Create and or Generate Requisitions, POs, PO Receipts (CMMS & Syteline),
- Develop and maintain the 5s plan of the store.
- Audit materials management process with regularly scheduled cycle counts.
- Support management with data to implement corrective action as discovered in cycle counts, KPIs or other CMMS data.
- Assist and support Maintenance Leadership Team
- Serves as liaison for problem solving and escalation between maintenance and operations.
- Help to develop and maintain PM Plans, Schedules, Routes, and Work Packages that are aligned with the organization’s maintenance goals
- Create procedural manuals that explain how to do certain tasks
- Assist in cost estimates of labor and parts for industrial equipment
- Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management
- Measure and publish facility’s PI metrics to the management team; interpret data, troubleshoot process, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Support management in the review of WO Data accuracy such as Equipment on WOs, Booked Hours (Employee and Vendors), parts usage, WO type, closing codes and WO Comments.
- Work with Maintenance team to reduce costs and improve parts quality
Qualifications
- Education:
- 4-year degree in Business Administration, Information System, Engineering, or related fields. Preferred
- 2-year degree (or professional training) in Technical Trade, Engineering, or related fields. Preferred
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Planning, Scheduling, or Controller related certification. Preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- 5 years’ experience leading technical teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a planner, scheduler, or dispatcher role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Preferred
- 3 years’ working experience working with enterprise asset management software and Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Preferred (eMaint and Syteline is highly desired)
- 3 years’ Experience in the data analysis of the maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization. Preferred
- Experience in creating maintenance schedules for all plant equipment. Preferred
- Experience determining the tools and supplies needed for each different type of machine. Preferred
- Experience in ordering and keeping spare parts for various machines as needed. Preferred
- Experience in developing maintenance and training manuals. Preferred
- Experience communicating to peers, hourly associates, and senior management regarding maintenance, inventory, and cost control. Required
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and provide direction to others
- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them
- Understanding of basic financial concepts, such as estimating and budgeting. Preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, such as Excel. Preferred
- Must have the ability to communicate information orally and/or written to other personnel in a clear, concise manner.
