Job Summary
Stout Building Contractors is seeking a skilled and motivated Brand Designer. This full-time position combines creative and organizational responsibilities, requiring a strong background in graphic design, branding, and communication. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive under deadlines. You will play a critical role in managing proposals, creating branded materials, supporting company events, and maintaining the company website.
Responsibilities
- Proposal Design and Management
- Organize and craft compelling proposals to secure new business opportunities.
- Analyze RFPs, outline proposal needs and collect necessary information.
- Organize and format content into visually appealing layouts that align with brand standards.
- Ensure compliance with owner specifications and manage timely submissions.
- Create owner-specific A305 documents and maintain supporting materials (e.g., project lists).
- Gather reference letters, conduct client interviews, draft letters, and coordinate reviews.
- Complete contractor pre-qualification forms (e.g., DFCM, franchises, school districts).
- Request bid bonds and communicate outcomes to bonding companies.
- Track and ensure award submissions meet deadlines.
- Presentation Creation
- Design custom presentations for client interviews or internal training sessions.
- Document Formatting
- Update company brochures, employee resumes, reports, and other materials.
- Website Management
- Manage and update the company website.
- Graphics
- Respond to various graphic requests as needed.
- Jobsite Signage
- Design standard and custom signage for jobsites.
- Business Cards
- Create, update, and manage orders for business cards.
- Event Support
- Design invitations, signs, graphics, backdrops, and other materials for events like groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings, career fairs, and company parties.
Qualifications
- Education and Training
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred but not required) in Graphic Design
- Technical Skills
- Graphic Design Software Expertise
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop are essential; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Audition are a bonus).
- Squarespace (experience with navigating, building, and managing websites using its features and interface).
