Tasks/Responsibilities

• Provide positive leadership necessary to grow and develop crew members.
• Responsible for training and development of team, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure that all onsite safety policies, procedures, and protocols are practiced.
• Be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Support Project Superintendent and other SEG Management in tracking of project progress.
• Execute safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment in a high production mine site.
• Responsible for meeting daily processing demands in a cost-efficient manner.
• Coordinate between maintenance, operations, and external contractors.
• Assume responsibility of maintaining safe work conditions, adherence to operational policies and procedures, and adherence of MSHA regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings.
• Ability to cross train crew members on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Communicate equipment deficiencies and needs to Maintenance Department timely.
• Ensuring production logs are being filled out daily and accurately.
• Ability to use a variety of reporting software and electronic devices (laptops, iPads, tablets, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in aggregate operations, 3 years’ experience required.
• Leadership experience in a mining environment, 1 year preferred but not required.
• MSHA training, preferred but not required.
• Effective communication skills.
• A sense of urgency in responding to all situations.
• Trainable and ambitious.

• 12 hour shift

• Heavy Equipment Foreman: 3 years (Required)
• Aggregate Mining: 3 years (Preferred)
