Description
We are looking for an Accountant who can be a team player and actively contribute to the goals of the department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, analytical acumen, and a thorough knowledge of accounting processes and procedures. Our work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial statement packages for an assigned portfolio of properties.
Journal entries to document accounting transactions.
Bank reconciliations
Full bookkeeping function from AP through the production of financial statements.
Maintenance of financial trackers.
Cash flow reports for property owners.
Support ad hoc reporting requests from owners as well as our Operations Department
Any other related duty or function which may be assigned at any point in time.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
Understanding of GAAP and cash basis accounting
Hands-on experience with accounting software, Entrata and/or Yardi experience is preferred.
Ability to function at a high level in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Ability to communicate well with business partners at all levels within and outside the company
Time management skills are essential to the position
Education:
Two years of experience as an Accountant, AA or BS in Accounting/Finance considered in lieu of experience.
