Counter Sales

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting them with their needs and providing exceptional service. Your expertise in customer service will help drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting the right products or material for their landscape needs.
• Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register and ensure proper handling of cash and credit card payments.
• Maintain an organized inventory by managing stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and assisting with order fulfillment.
• Utilize retail math to provide customers with accurate pricing and product information.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that equipment is being taken care of, inventory is being checked, and that deliveries are being coordinated correctly.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on plant designs and hardscape designs to enhance customer experience.
• Utilize a computer, cell phone, and office phone. This means answering emails in a timely manner and also answering the phone.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or counter sales is preferred.
• Strong understanding of retail math principles to facilitate accurate transactions.
• Landscape knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.
• Proficiency in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for inventory management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
