Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. This role involves guiding families through the funeral process, ensuring that their needs are met with dignity and respect. The Funeral Director and Embalmer will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of funeral services, from planning to execution, while providing bereavement support to grieving families.
Duties
- Collaborate with families to plan and arrange personalized funeral services that honor the deceased.
- Manage all logistics related to the funeral, including transportation, paperwork, and facility setup.
- Provide bereavement support and guidance to families during their time of loss.
- Prepare the deceased for viewing by performing necessary cosmetic procedures and sanitation.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards in all aspects of funeral directing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to each service provided.
- Assist in event planning for memorial services, including coordinating with vendors and managing timelines.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology when preparing remains for viewing or burial.
- Engage in sales activities related to funeral products and services offered by the establishment.
Experience
Candidates should have a background in funeral directing or a related field, along with the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it pertains to mortuary science.
- Experience in providing bereavement support to families during difficult times.
- Customer service experience, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Familiarity with cosmetology techniques for preparing the deceased for viewing.
- Proven ability to plan events effectively while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of sanitation practices relevant to the preparation of remains.
- Ability to dissect information clearly for families regarding services offered.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
