What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Coordinator position at Stow Dental Care?
Front Desk Team members are a huge part of giving our patients a wonderful experience from beginning to end, greeting patients with a friendly & warm smile and with a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Strive to provide a superior patient experience
- Check out patients
- Calculate co-payments and present treatment plan
- Educate the patient regarding insurance benefits and affordable payment options, including third-party patient financing
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls
- Schedule and confirm appointments for Doctors and Hygienists
- Act as a liaison between the Patient and the Doctor
- Collect and post patient payments
- Follow-up as needed with the patient between visits for non scheduled, canceled, or missed appointments
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, faxing and other duties as assigned

- Ensures a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when scheduling patients and entering treatment codes
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward coworkers and patients
- Ability to multi-task especially during peak hours of operation
- Is professional and courteous when communicating with coworkers and patients

- Demonstrates good problem solving skills
- Follows through with tasks and responsibilities in an appropriate and timely manner
- Is adaptable to daily events as they occur
- Conveys a patient-focused manner in communication with others
- Ability to communicate with patients, answer patient concerns and questions
- Versed in dental terminologies and procedures
- Understanding and compliance of HIPAA and OSHA & CDC Guidelines

Previous dental background and customer service experience is a MUST. Experience with the Dentrix and being bilingual are a plus.
