Stow Kent Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our vibrant team of professionals. Located in Ohio, our well-established practice has been serving the community with excellence for over 40 years. We are a multi-doctor practice, each bringing a wealth of experience and unique expertise to our team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine.
About Us :
Diverse Experience : Our doctors have a range of experience from 10 years to over 40 years, providing a rich environment for learning and professional growth.
Small Animal Practice Exotic and Pocket Pets : Two of our doctors are skilled in treating exotic and pocket pets in addition to cats and dogs.
Leadership and Expertise : Our medical director is ABVP boarded in Canine / Feline and contributes significantly to the VIN Exotics Associate Database.
Our Facilities :
Three Locations : Conveniently located within a 5-mile radius.
Comprehensive Services : Including modern ultrasonography, digital radiography, endoscopy, EKG, blood pressure, surgical monitors, a high and low speed dental unit and digital dental radiography, as well as a comprehensive in-house laboratory (CBC, Chemistry, U / A, Coags).
Surgical Suite : Featuring two surgery tables, a dedicated dental procedure room with digital dental radiographs, and a separate isolation kennel room for infectious cases.
Collaborative Team : Our team includes CSRs, Assistants, RVTs, and Surgical Assistants dedicated to providing top-notch care.
Position : Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Starting Wage : $18.00 / hour with opportunities for growth based on experience.

Responsibilities :
Assist doctors with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
Support DVMs in surgical procedures by prepping the OR, monitoring anesthesia, and maintaining patient charts and records
Perform dental procedures
Conduct venipuncture, IV catheterization, cystocentesis, and take radiographs
Assist with staff training and development
Engage in clear and thorough communication with team members and clients
Requirements :
RVT certification or eligibility for certification in the state of Ohio
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
