Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained according to industry standards. This position is essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff.
Duties
- Perform sterilization of dental instruments using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations regarding infection control.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment by ensuring all necessary instruments are sterile and set up ready for use.
- Collaborate with dental assistants to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
- Monitor inventory levels of sterilization supplies and equipment, and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Conduct routine tests and checks on sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in all work areas, including sterilization rooms and treatment areas.
- Maintain and update sterilization testing.
- Daily laundering of clinical scrubs.
- Daily emptying of trash bins and recycle bins.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to four-handed general dentistry is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.70 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 38 per week
