What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Clerk position at Stowers Machinery?
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience is normally required using word processing and spreadsheet software. Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to type 40 wpm. Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening tests.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides basic clerical support to Service Manager and Service Department; typing, filing, copying, mailings, and answering the telephone with limited assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows directions accurately and performs tasks in an efficient time while working with limited supervision.
Processes service work orders as directed by supervisor to include opening, closing, and changes.
Processes purchase orders and outside invoices in a timely manner and within company procedures.
Posts all oil, freon, etc. accurately to the appropriate service work order.
Enters time cards labor and mileage accurately.
Maintains history folders in an accurate manner.
Answers telephone promptly in a professional manner.
Work performed is mistake and error-free.
Shows interest in own work.
Maintains knowledge of "Dealer Business System" as needed to perform duties.
Knowledgeable of equipment, supplies, and procedures necessary to perform duties with limited assistance.
