As a part of our continued growth, Stoystown Auto Wreckers, one of Pennsylvania's largest independent Auto Recycling Facilities is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to become our General Manager at our new location in Taneytown, Maryland. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for all phases of our daily operations which include Sales, Inventory, Dismantling, Production, Quality Control, Distribution and General maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES : * Ensure the safety of all employees and visitors. * Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and provide succession planning for all staff. * Maintain a positive work environment and ensure proper training and staff assessments * Support the company's efforts in procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services. * Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards. * Manage safety, production, quality, cost reduction, delivery, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and yard performance measures. * Manage costs and communicate issues related to cost and labor variances; implement solutions to address these issues. * Ensure product quality and operator performance are maintained; recommend and oversee the purchase of new equipment and improvements to yard property. * Identify, communicate, and drive the implementation of capital investments and improvement projects. * Work with company's staff to develop budgets, programs, and long-term plans. * Perform cash office operational functions.
REQUIREMENTS : * Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required. * Five (5) years of experience as a fulfillment manager, production manager, or General Manager within the Automotive Recycling industry is preferred. * Performance management skills. * Problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication skills. * Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements. * Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others. * Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain constructive working relationships. * Proven track record in achieving excellent quality and safety results.
