Receiving Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Receiving Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving department, ensuring that all incoming materials are handled efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of inventory management, and a commitment to process improvement. The Receiving Manager will work closely with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the receiving department, including the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.
• Supervise and train team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and efficient handling of materials.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track incoming shipments and manage stock levels.
• Collaborate with 3PL partners to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues related to materials handling.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the receiving department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a focus on shipping and receiving operations.
• Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and OSHA regulations.
• Experience in team management, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
• Proficient in inventory management systems and practices.
• Familiarity with 3PL operations is preferred but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time
