Looking for a Superintendent to work with a Commerical company in New Haven CT.
Direct Hire Role
Pay is $80,000-100,00 a year
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring efficient field operations, safety, quality control and adherence to project schedules. Regularly interface with Project Managers and project stakeholders. Provide ongoing management and guidance to all members of the construction team. Promote a culture where safety is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to establish in-field workflow, quality controls, trade management and best practices to ensure delivery of projects on time and on budget.
- Continuously assess the job site to ensure quality, safety and the status of every construction element.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to increase efficiency and streamline processes.
- Maintain effective communication with company leadership, clients, subcontractors and project teams.
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA and Milestone safety procedures on all jobsites.
- Communicate and instill a culture of safety with all field staff and subcontractors by conducting weekly tailgate safety meetings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering a plus or in lieu of a degree, industry experience with a minimum of 5 years of actual in-field construction leadership experience.
- 30-hour OSHA Certification.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles/techniques and the ability to communicate this subject matter with others.
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret construction project schedules, drawings, specs, and contracts.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels.
- Project management expertise with the ability to manage budgets, deadlines and coordination of all facets of a project.
- Problem solving with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a challenging environment with changing priorities.
