What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Clerk/Bagger position at Strack and Van Til?
Summary: Provides prompt, efficient and outstanding customer service. Assists customers with their purchases and provides carryout services. Ensures a clean store environment by gathering carts from the parking lot and returning them to their proper location. Maintains the cleanliness of restrooms and keeps them well stocked. Also, ensures bag racks are full and overstock is returned to its proper place. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: A positive customer service attitude, effective memory skills, dependability, ability to follow directions, and a strong willingness to learn. Normal physical strength is required to handle up to 20-pound objects, frequently lifting up to 30 lbs six to eight times per shift. Some items may weigh up to 40 lbs, handled occasionally.
Work Environment: Normal exposure to weather and temperature extremes. Employees are required to go outside for carryout services and to retrieve carts.

- Bags groceries for customers.
- Faces merchandise in the store to maintain an organized appearance.
- Responds to calls for price checks and spills.
- Carries out groceries for customers.
- Cleans general shopping areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Restocks back shop merchandise to maintain inventory levels.
Other Activities:
- Climbs ladders and stair towers to restock and clean high shelves.
- Cleans the parking lot to ensure a safe and welcoming entrance.
- Collects and retrieves carts from the parking lot.
- Cleans restrooms to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
