Assistant Bakery Manager Trainee

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Bakery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow. The Assistant Bakery Manager will also play a key role in staff management, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Support:

• Assist the Bakery Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the bakery.
• Ensure all bakery products meet quality standards and are produced on schedule.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.

• Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Assist in managing customer orders, special requests, and deliveries.

• Staff Management:

• Supervise and train bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and sales associates.
• Schedule shifts and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Inventory and Supplies:

• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks to prevent shortages or overstock.

• Quality Control:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.

• Administrative Duties:

• Assist with record-keeping, including sales reports, inventory logs, and staff schedules.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bakery or food service management role.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
