Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Bakery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflow. The Assistant Bakery Manager will also play a key role in staff management, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support:
- Assist the Bakery Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the bakery.
- Ensure all bakery products meet quality standards and are produced on schedule.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
- Assist in managing customer orders, special requests, and deliveries.
- Staff Management:
- Supervise and train bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and sales associates.
- Schedule shifts and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inventory and Supplies:
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of baking supplies, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Administrative Duties:
- Assist with record-keeping, including sales reports, inventory logs, and staff schedules.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bakery or food service management role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
