Position Title: Bakery Manager

Job Summary: The Bakery Manager oversees the daily operations of the bakery department within a grocery store, ensuring high-quality products, excellent customer service, and efficient management of staff and resources. The Bakery Manager is responsible for maintaining product freshness, driving sales, and upholding health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor bakery staff. Schedule work shifts and ensure that the team delivers high-quality products on time.

. Product Management: Ensure that all bakery products are freshly prepared, properly displayed, and stocked to meet customer demand. Monitor product quality, freshness, and consistency.

. Inventory and Ordering: Manage inventory, track product sales, and place orders for ingredients and supplies. Work with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

. Sales & Profitability: Drive bakery sales by developing promotions, seasonal specials, and attractive displays. Monitor sales trends and adjust production levels accordingly to minimize waste and maximize profit.

. Customer Service: Ensure that bakery staff provides exceptional customer service. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.

. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that the bakery department follows all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain clean and safe working conditions for staff and customers.

. Cost Control: Manage the bakery department's budget, ensuring labor and ingredient costs are controlled. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.

Qualifications:
. Previous experience in bakery management or food service, preferably in a grocery or retail setting.

. Strong leadership and team management skills.

. Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and products.

. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food service.

Preferred Skills:
. Experience in cost control, inventory management, and budgeting.

. Ability to create appealing bakery displays and develop promotional strategies.

. Passion for food and bakery products with a customer-focused approach.

Work Environment:
. Requires standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

. Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
