StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineering Technologists and Technician to join our team at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL. NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies. (This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) governed position). The Senior Engineering Technologists and Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following requirements.
Essential Job Duties:

- Support laboratory and other technical efforts with emphasis on computer hardware, software, modeling and simulation, and human performance.
- Perform work assignments of limited scope and difficulty designed to provide advanced practical application and experience of theories and principles in engineering and scientific fields of specialization.
- Assist higher level professional personnel by carrying out complete projects of limited scope or narrow aspects of broader projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:
- Candidate must have approximately 10 or more years of practical experience working with the foundational sciences and mathematics typically associated with the first two years of a specified major’s curriculum.
- Requires knowledge of scientific and engineering principles and theories of the type, scope, and thoroughness typically acquired through the course of study in a field of relevant technical specialization.
- Basic knowledge of computer programming, electronics, problem definition and analysis, research methods, data analysis, and presentation of results.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and correct grammar and mechanics.
- 10 years operational Anti-submarine Warfare Experience (required).
- 8 years Sonar Operations experience (required).
- Intelligence data analysis education or experience (required).
- Oceanography education or experience (desired).
Education Requirements:
- BS degree from an accredited educational institution in a relevant scientific or technical field.
Security Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard (formerly known as the Service Contract Act of 1965) and the applicable Wage Determination. As such, selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly wages, as well as health and welfare benefits established by the Department of Labor to prevail in the locality. StraCon is fulfilling the health and welfare benefit requirement through the use of a bona fide plan which includes certain insurance coverage.
