Job Summary :
As part of our warehouse and delivery teams, you will use hand trucks and forklifts to load and unload delivery vehicles and drive vehicles to delivery locations.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Duties / Responsibilities :
Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, railroad cars, trucks, and storage areas.Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day.Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed.Performs other related duties as assignedRequired Skills / Abilities :
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Ability to drive safely.Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and / or web-based or physical maps.Ability to maintain basic logs and records.Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.Always remain professional and courteous.Forklift certification and / or experienceMust be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.Education and Experience :
Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.Experience loading and unloading in a warehouse environment.Forklift certification and / or experience.Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean MVR report .Physical ability to lift and move heavy items throughout a normal shift.Physical Requirements :
Ability to maintain single task focus and situational awareness.Must be able to move and lift up to 40-pound wooden skid or pallet.Benefits :
