Position Overview: The Vice President of Commercial Finance will play a critical role in driving Strada’s
financial strategy and performance. This executive will lead the ~50 FTE management reporting and
commercial finance team, providing strategic insights and financial guidance to support the company’s
growth and profitability. The role reports Commercially to Strada’s Chief Operating Officer and
functionally to the VP FP&A. The COO is responsible for driving growth across the payroll and SAP
Professional Services segments that comprise ~$800m in annual revenue (~75% of total Strada revenues)
and 7,900 direct and indirect colleagues (includes 2,500 indirect colleagues provides by a 3rd party BPO).
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies with the COO and his
executive team that aligns with Strada’s business objectives and growth plans. Financial oversight of the
COOs areas of responsibility in the Value Creation Plan
Financial Planning: Oversee the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and quarterly
forecasting activities for the two payroll segments and SAP Professional Services. Ensure coupling of
Value Creation Drivers within the annual budget and longer term financial plan.
Performance Analysis: Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to
support the COO and senior management decision making. Implement the metrics scorecard that will
provide the right insight into Strada’s financial and operational performance (certain elements of this are
under construction).
Reporting: Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the COO, executive team, board
of directors, and investors.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous
improvement.
Investment Analysis: Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.
M&A transaction experience is required.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability and
compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support business initiatives and drive crossfunctional
projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or similar
qualification is a requirement. US GAAP/IFRS experience and understanding is required.
Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 10 years
in senior leadership roles. Public Company and/or PE experience in globally sophisticated organizations is
required.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the global payroll, professional services, or BPO related industries is
desirable but not essential.
Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills are required; Experience
managing large data sets ; experience leveraging , excellent communication and “Board Level”
presentation abilities is required.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving organizational success.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting tools. Familiarity with Workday ERP
and Adaptive planning or similar ERP and financial planning tools is required.
