What are the responsibilities and job description for the Department Manager position at Strader's Garden Centers?
Strader's Garden Centers is looking for a motivated and reliable Department Manager to oversee our hard good department. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) unloading trucks, sorting and stocking product, creating merchandising displays, filling customer propane tanks, inventory, training of new hires, and customer service. Department Heads are responsible for ensuring that they, and their team, are performing necessary tasks, meeting deadlines and providing top notch customer service. Knowledge of garden center products such as lawn care products, pest and disease control, and plant material is a must.
This position is an active position, with the ability to be on your feet all day and to lift up to 50 lbs. If you are a proven leader, who is knowledgeable in the industry, we are looking for you!
