**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team in a public school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional support in the classroom. **Responsibilities**
- Assist teachers in the planning, implementation, and assessment of educational activities and programs.
- Provide support in the classroom, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and helping to supervise students during lessons, recess, lunch and snack.
- Assist in the management of classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students.
- Participate in the development of individualized educational plans (IEPs) and assist in implementing accommodations.
- Assist in the administration of standardized assessments and provide support to students with special needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify and address individual student needs.
- Assist in the maintenance of the classroom and school facilities, including cleaning, organizing, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Support the development of engaging lesson plans and curricula that align with the school's educational objectives.
**Requirements**
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of childhood development and elementary school curriculum.
- Proven experience in classroom management, with the ability to adapt to different teaching styles, personalities and environments.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to assist in the development of individualized educational plans (IEPs).
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and students.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Must have experience working with elementary aged children.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.12 - $22.49 per hour
