Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Softball Coach to lead our team and foster a positive learning environment for our athletes. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports coaching and a strong ability to motivate and develop players' skills both on and off the field. This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to promoting sportsmanship and personal growth among students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs that enhance players' skills in softball.
- Conduct regular practices, focusing on technique, strategy, and teamwork.
- Organize and supervise games, ensuring adherence to rules, regulations, expectations , policies and procedures according to the Strafford School District, Southeast League, Seacoast League, and NHIAA .
- Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and player progress.
- Monitor the physical conditioning of athletes to promote health and fitness.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games.
Requirements
- Proven minimum of 3 years of successful experience in sports coaching, preferably in softball or related sports.
- Background in physical education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students or youth in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, parents, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings as needed for practices and games.
