Bilingual Receptionist/Schedule Coordinator
Position Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and highly organized Bilingual Front Desk Coordinator (Spanish/English) to join our fast-paced orthodontic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, thrive in a busy environment, and contribute to creating an upbeat and friendly experience for both patients and staff. This position offers flexible scheduling options to help maintain work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, parents, and visitors with a warm, friendly attitude in both English and Spanish, creating a positive first impression of the office.
- Answer phone calls in both English and Spanish, schedule appointments, and assist with rescheduling or confirming upcoming visits.
- Assist patients with check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate collection of necessary information in both languages.
- Verify patient insurance information, including eligibility and benefits, and handle billing inquiries in both English and Spanish.
- Help coordinate appointment scheduling to ensure smooth patient flow and timely visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, keeping patient files, records, and office supplies in order.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and welcoming office environment that encourages a cheerful experience for all patients.
- Respond to patient concerns or complaints promptly, professionally, and with empathy, in both English and Spanish.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support the orthodontic team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree or higher preferred).
- Previous front desk or customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or dental/orthodontic setting.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, parents, and team members.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team-player mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dental/orthodontic software (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
- Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
