What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wok Cook/ Line Cook position at Straits Restaurant Group?
Our wok cooks and line cooks are very important members of our kitchen staff. They are responsible for making sure that food is prepared to the exact specifications of the chef, establishment, and customer. We want our line cooks to grow and move up in the kitchen to positions with more responsibility. Prior experience as line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef is very helpful to the success at this job
Requirements/Responsibilities
Wok/Line Cook Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and wait staff.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
- Must be able to follow printed recipes and plate specifications.
Prior experience as line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef is very helpful to the success at this job
