Job role: Client Partner - Pharma & LS

Location: NJ (Hybrid, Travel involved)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Client Partner/Account Manager with deep expertise in the pharma/Medical devices domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large teams, driving client engagement, and owning end-to-end P&L responsibilities for a $5–6 million portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker and growth leader to manage key client relationships and deliver value through innovative solutions and services.


Key Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients in the pharma domain, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by understanding their needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Drive account growth through cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of 50 members, ensuring alignment with client and organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.

P&L Management:

  • Oversee a portfolio with an annual P&L responsibility of $5–6 million.
  • Ensure profitability by managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and optimizing operational efficiencies.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to achieve revenue targets and cost efficiencies.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with client objectives and organizational goals.
  • Ensure delivery excellence and the timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within the pharma domain to offer innovative solutions.

Domain Expertise:

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and client challenges.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights and industry best practices tailored to the pharma domain.

Solutioning & Analytics:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver innovative solutions, leveraging analytics and technology to address client needs.
  • Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, dashboards, and predictive models.
  • Propose scalable and cost-effective solutions aligned with clients' business objectives.

Client-Focused innovation:

  • Understand client pain points and identify opportunities for analytics-driven transformation and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure that proposed solutions align with client goals and demonstrate measurable business impact.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in account management, client partnerships, or business development in the pharma domain.
  • Proven experience managing large teams and driving team performance.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a P&L of $5–6 million with consistent revenue growth and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of the pharma industry's challenges, regulatory requirements, and trends.
  • Strong understanding of analytics and data visualization, using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, python, SQL or similar platforms, and their application in solving pharma industry challenges.
  • Proven track record in solutioning, including designing and implementing data-driven strategies and leveraging analytics for decision-making.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to deliver domain-specific solutions that drive client success.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and problem-solving mindset.
