Job Summary
This position is responsible for the day-to-day running of designated shuttle routes. Duties will include adherence to all federal DOT regulations regarding commercial vehicles and licenses including all proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by the Department of Transportation. The Shuttle Driver must obey all local, state and federal laws regarding proper operation of the shuttle bus including wearing a seatbelt. For safety purposes it is always critical that the driver be alert and follow safe driving procedures, and any other duties as assigned or required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Shuttle Driver's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Transporting guests to/from airport and other locations.
- Assisting both arriving and departing guests with their luggage.
- Inspecting, cleaning and servicing (e.g. oil, gas) the van(s).
- Maintaining mileage logbooks.
- Delivering special request items to hotel guests, such as express mail, hair dryers, etc., and assisting houseperson(s) with cleaning lobby and public areas of hotel as needed.
- Picking up trash from parking lot.
- Completing duties and confirming on shift checklist as assigned.
- Occasionally running errands for the official business of the hotel staff.
- Various other duties assigned by Supervisor
Requirements
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license in state of employment
- Must maintain an excellent driving record
- Must have personal auto insurance
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
- Prior guest services experience required
- Must be able to lift, pull, or push at least 50 lbs
- Prior customer driving experience strongly preferred
