Position Responsibilities
Management & Leadership:
• Builds a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations
• Establishes and implements company quality procedures, standards, and expectations.
• Serves as company representative during customer audits and source inspections.
• Is responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of all activities in the quality lab.
• Recommends and facilitates companywide QMS and QSP training.
• Ensures employees adhere to company quality policies and procedures, safety rules, and employee code of conduct. Administer disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Ensures compliance to AS9100/ISO9001 standards, product documentation, specifications, SOPs, and regulatory requirements as required.
Analytical:
• Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
• Performs statistical analysis, process validations, and engineering changes.
• Manages internal and supplier non-conformance and root cause analysis, corrective actions and verification of effectiveness, first article inspections, and PPAPs.
• Manages calibration, preventative maintenance, class 10K cleanroom monitoring, skills matrix, and training records.
• Coordinates with all departments to establish receiving and final inspection priorities.
Communication & Continual Improvement:
• Maintain a customer-centric approach to quality, prioritizing activities that nurture lifelong customer relationships.
• Provides operations and sales team with accurate and timely progress updates.
• Supports and implements new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles and practices.
• Is responsible for soliciting and communicating potential improvements in processes that may reduce cost, increase quality, and/or improve delivery of products through continuous improvement, or other means.
• Supports and fosters an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.
Responsibilities – Sales & Marketing
• Contribute to the development of growth strategies focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in the design and implementation of the marketing strategy (content writing, image & asset creation, LinkedIn communication).
• Conduct research as time permits.
Job Requirements
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Must have excellent analytical and computer skills including Minitab, Solid works CAD Modeling, 3D printing, MRP or ERP systems, Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, Google Suite, and Slack.
• Excellent reputation for building relationships across various levels of an organization.
• Organized, on-time, and detailed project management skills.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a medical device or aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a supervisory, management, or leadership role.
• Experience implementing an ISO9001 or AS9100 quality system.
