Position Overview:

Join our ambitious research team, located in Cambridge, MA, and contribute to pioneering projects utilizing state-of-the-art biochemical methodologies and high-throughput screening techniques. You will play a critical, hands-on role in the lab, studying interactions between candidate molecules and materials with hair and its components. Through careful experiments and meticulous analysis, your work will directly inform the identification of molecular agents that address critical needs in hair care, advancing solutions at an accelerated pace. The results of your efforts are set to have an immediate and tangible impact on industry-defining products. 


The position is on-site, Monday through Friday, at our labs in Cambridge, MA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, optimize, troubleshoot, and execute experiments supporting R&D pipelines.
  • Assist in the rapid development and deployment of novel assays to detect and measure molecular interactions in biological samples, ensuring reliable and actionable results.
  • Help translate biochemical results into strategic downstream experiments, focusing on delivering high-value hair care treatments.
  • Maintain, operate and refine high-throughput screening systems, exhibiting comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the experimental and analytical processes involved.
  • Source, secure, and maintain chemical and biological materials according to research needs.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain detailed laboratory documentation, ensuring seamless operations and reproducibility.
  • Actively contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team, fostering a communicative and productive work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field in molecular sciences .
  • Hands-on wet-lab experience (academic or industry), preferably with methods of protein research (i.e. ELISA assays, SDS-gel electrophoresis, western blots).
  • Proven background in the study of protein binders and drug discovery and design is a strong advantage.
  • Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficient workflow management, with the ability to multitask and thrive under time constraints.
  • Highly dependable, detail oriented and organized.
