Warehouse Material Handler

Our talented employees are instrumental in our success, and we now have an opening for a Warehouse Material Handler.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler reports to the Warehouse Manager and will supervise two others and is responsible for the movement and reporting of all stocked and non-stocked items in the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize stocked and non-stocked locations and shelving in the warehouse
• Confirm and put away all stocked and non-stocked items received in the warehouse
• Document all received items in the warehouse on an Excel spreadsheet
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Move all the stocked items from the production building to the warehouse
• Maintain the cardboard and plastic used in all the departments.
• Perform random weight counts on received items from suppliers and production
• Perform cycle counts on stocked items when requested
• Report all stocked items adjustments
• Bring all overstocked items down when needed
• Work with the production staff to exchange empty containers
• Organize and submit orders for all packaging supplies to the warehouse manger
• Other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager.

Requirements:

• High School degree or GED
• Basic knowledge of EXCEL
• Syspro or ERP software experience a plus
• Have basic measuring skills
• Have Forklift experience
• Be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Be able to stand for 8 hours a day
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated
• Meticulous attention to detail and well organized
• Strong communication skills in English
• Able to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours
