Heavy Equipment Repair Technician - (Shop/Support) Grand Forks, ND
Primary Responsibility:
Are you a self-motivated technician who can complete repairs on all types of heavy equipment? Do you have strong communication and computer skills? Do you have a positive can-do attitude? Then you should look at Strata.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Inspect all heavy equipment and make recommendations for required repairs.
- Can use test equipment, computer diagnostic software, parts, and service information.
- Be able to complete hydraulic, power train, electrical and engine repairs.
- Inspect completed job assignments for quality control.
- Complete PM inspections as per the provided checklists. Able to take accurate oil samples.
- Inspect heavy equipment, making sure all safety equipment is in place and operational.
- Willing to work on multiple brands of equipment.
- Order required parts for repairs, stock out inventory parts, and return unused parts or cores with proper documentation.
- Complete repair documentation and timecards.
- Can determine parts reusability and communicate information to Supervisor.
- Willing to work independently as well as part of a team and help other departments.
- Willing to work overtime as workload dictates.
- Can communicate effectively with other team members, Supervisors, and operations personnel.
- Must have and be able to maintain a clean driving record. Must have a CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL license.
Minimum Experience:
- Two-year 'technical degree in field and/or equivalent heavy equipment experience required.
Compensation:
The compensation package is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Must possess a current valid driver's license and pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
