Systems Engineering Technologist/MBSE Modeler

The Systems Engineering Technologist (SET) - MBSE Modeler works with the Systems Engineers in the application and implementation of system requirements into SySML software tools. Must be versant with the Cameo software suite and have knowledge of systems engineering concepts. Must have intermediate to expert skills with Microsoft Office software tools. Will be developing the system models from the project requirements and system requirements being derived from the SOW and other technical documentation. Will work closely with the senior staff in the development of presentations of the MBSE developed models for design reviews and other briefings.

• Assists in the identification of correct configuration, integrity and feasibility of design(s).
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Gains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, hardware, materials, practices, and procedures.
• Able to generate/derive system concepts and requirements from Statements of Work (SOW), User Needs Statements, Operational Concept Documents, and contract specifications.
• Understands systems analyses and requirements derivation and tracking.
• Gives timely and appropriate feedback on assigned project tasks.
• Prepares and is capable of presenting PowerPoint slides of current assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

• Min Education: Associates Degree in Systems Engineering Technology or be nearing completion of same.
• Proficient in the use of MBSE software tools for the generation of system models.
• Effective communication skills both written and oral. Comfortable and competent when presenting technical material to peers or Company management.
• Able to learn and understand the use of applicable military, aerospace, and commercial standards for interfaces. Standard electrical and data bus interface knowledge helpful.
• Be able to read and understand practices used in a Technical Manual.

Desired Qualifications, Competencies, or Experience

• Capable of preparing, discussing, and presenting the developed MBSE models
• Capable of performing basic analyses.
• Understands overall project developmental requirements.
• Has prior system (aircraft, vehicle, or weapons) installation, maintenance experience. Design experience helpful
• Able to understand the principles and practices of configuration management.
• Able to understand and apply the basic knowledge of the design to integration process.
• Has worked in an Engineering team in the completion a project from drafting through analysis and installation.

Should have one of the following:

• AS degree in Engineering, Technology, or an appropriate technical field or hands on experience maintaining or installing systems onto a commercial or military platform.
• Former military experience helpful.

Clearance

• Must be eligible for and able to maintain a Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance preferred.

All Strata-G employees must successfully complete a background & drug screening during their pre-employment processes. For applicable positions, obtaining and maintaining a Department of Defense security clearance may be required.
