What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Clerk / Accountant position at Strata Networks?
Wage: $25-$30 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee data, deductions, and earnings.
- Calculate and process taxes, garnishments, and other deductions.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries professionally and confidentially.
- Assist with month-end and year-end payroll closing activities.
- Stay up to date on payroll laws and compliance requirements.
- Utilize payroll software and accounting systems efficiently.
- Support general accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar payroll role.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
