Strata offers a state-of-the-art electronic safety platform, that includes: Completely wireless communications and tracking, post-emergency communications, proximity detection and collision avoidance, Gas Detection, ventilation and conveyor monitoring, Leaky Feeder wired communication systems, AI Camera systems, Wi-Fi systems as well as cellular LTE. Additionally, Strata specializes in the design and manufacturing of emergency refuge chambers, and specialized construction products.
Incumbent will be responsible for installations and technical support of systems such as, but not limited to, Strata CommTrac Wireless Communications and Tracking, Leaky Feeder, AI Camera systems as well as HazardAvert® and Proximity Detection Systems. They will also provide support, maintenance, inspection and repair on underground mine refuge chambers.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installs and commissions Safety Product Systems.
• Services, repairs, maintains Safety Product Systems.
• Provides professional service and technical support to Customers.
• Serves as a technical expert to Customers.
• Provides product training to Customers.
• Supports, maintains, inspects and repairs underground mine refuge chambers.
• Performs other functions and duties as needed and/or as assigned.

A. Education and/or Experience
• Experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Underground mining experience is preferred but not essential.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Must be self motivated and have ability to solve problems.
• Must be technically oriented and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to build solid customer relations.
• Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office i.e. Word and Excel.
C. Travel Requirements
The incumbent will be required to travel within assigned region on a regular basis and limited out of region travel. Trips will likely require overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
This position is Salary, Non-Exempt (you will be eligible for overtime)
