The Word Processing Specialist will be responsible for preparing, formatting, and proofreading a wide range of business documents, including reports, proposals, contracts, and presentations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong grammar and language skills, and advanced proficiency in word processing software.

The Word Processing Specialist will be responsible for preparing, formatting, and proofreading a wide range of business documents, including reports, proposals, contracts, and presentations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong grammar and language skills, and advanced proficiency in word processing software.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and format documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint according to company standards
- Maintain consistency in style, layout, and branding across all documentation
- Proofread and correct grammatical, typographical, and compositional errors
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure document accuracy and completeness
- Manage document version control and filing systems
- Convert documents into different formats (PDF, HTML, etc.) as needed
- Support administrative tasks related to document production and distribution
- Proven experience in a similar word processing or administrative support role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with formatting styles (APA, MLA, Chicago) is a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural industry is a plus
