Job Description

The Senior Electrical-Mechanical Technician is an advanced role for experienced professionals specializing in industrial maintenance. A Level Technicians take on more complex and critical tasks, independently leading maintenance projects and providing strategic input on system improvements. They are responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of production and manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead compliance efforts with all Stratas GMP standards.
• Execute/oversee the repair and installation of production and manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Utilize and train others in the use of advanced hand tools and electrical/mechanical tools proficiently.
• Champion the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.
• Rigorously adhere to and promote safety protocols and procedures.
• Mentor and provide advanced training to junior technicians and apprentices.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmissions, lubrication, mechanical and electrical principles.
• High school diploma or GED; advanced technical training, extensive experience or certifications strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and techniques.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Exceptional communication and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to perform demanding manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Unwavering commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.

Additional Information

Valuable Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with PLC/automation systems
• Expertise in developing, writing, and executing comprehensive preventative maintenance tasks, including the creation of detailed maintenance schedules and protocols.
• Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools and software for in-depth equipment analysis and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to high-quality standards.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.
• Proficient in using computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities, generating detailed reports, and analyzing maintenance data.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.

Physical:  Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties.  Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and must be able to wear a respirator.

Sensory: 

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to analyze information quickly to provide feedback in the manufacturing process and troubleshoot equipment failures
