Job Description
This position supports operation by providing leadership to the packaging areas. Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required
The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Primary Duties
Keeping lines running for better efficiency
Work on work orders that are assigned
Cleaning the maintenance shop and parts cage area
Working safely and following all SOP’s on lock out of equipment
Work on PM’s on the areas that are assigned
Able to assist others on job task
Identify needed mechanical improvements
Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and or practices
Completion and accuracy of down time sheets / GMP log
Completion of daily PM’s
Ability to be on call on weekends
Primary Objectives
Completing PM’s on a daily and monthly time frame
Working with line operators / supervisors to keep lines running
Completing work orders in a timely matter
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED & VERIFIED
Relevant Experience : Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Previous Carpentry, Millwright, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Welding, Mechanical Repair valuable!
Equipment / Software Skills : Basic computer knowledge - data entry
Competencies :
Ability to get along well with other people
Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes
Good written and verbal communication skills
Desire to advance in Maintenance Department
Ability to operate forklift truck, scissor lift, and sky trac (training available)
Mechanical skills
