Our team in Wahiawa, HI has an immediate need for a Senior Windows System Administrator/Exchange Administrator with demonstrated experience setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The position requires interaction with users, evaluating vendor products, and submitting recommendations to purchase hardware and software. Primary responsibilities include:
Our team in Wahiawa, HI has an immediate need for a Senior Windows System Administrator/Exchange Administrator with demonstrated experience setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space. The position requires interaction with users, evaluating vendor products, and submitting recommendations to purchase hardware and software. Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide services for Exchange support and troubleshoot for thousands of users on more than 100 MSC vessels and for multiple MSC NOCs
- Implement Global Address List (GAL) synchronizing between forests by means of Microsoft MIM
- Write and submit Change Requests (CRQs) for changes in procedures for approval by Information Assurance (IA)
- Develop Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation regarding security practices and operational procedures
- Create and implement guidelines for accreditations and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections (CCORI)
- Assist in creation and implementation of disaster recovery, business continuity, and failover/cutover procedures
- Maintain and manage the MSC Microsoft Exchange Server infrastructure within ensuring e-mail functionality for fleet customers
- Monitor and optimize Exchange server performance
- Write and update system documentation, install security patches/updates, plan and perform Exchange server upgrades, troubleshoot email issues and maintain the security posture of Exchange servers
- Provide written and verbal project updates to leadership, respond to, resolve, and document customer e-mail issues using the Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) ticket system (Remedy)
- Progressive IT experience (9 years) including significant Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2 and above administration within the past three (3) years
- Two years of supervision experience over complex IT projects
- Experience (1 year) in supervising large IT service contracts, including personnel of various job categories and skills and must have occurred in the last five (5) years
- Possess a certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01‐M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III
