What are the responsibilities and job description for the MNOC West Manager position at STRATASCORP?
Our team has an opening for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Lead position. The NOC Lead role requires the execution of strategic planning backed by demonstrated strong technical knowledge and skills, and effective leadership. The NOC Lead supervises and directs personnel in the maintenance and 24/7 operation of the center, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of the services provided, and submits proposals for infrastructure improvements. Specific responsibilities include:
- Proactively leading a diverse team in the effective identification and resolution of network issues to maximize services availability and delivery
- Leading, developing, and mentoring personnel, and managing cross-functional teams to facilitate growth of individuals’ skills and ensure the highest levels of performance and productivity
- Presiding over staffing to ensure personnel assignments align with meeting contractual requirements, and to ensure timely and effective response to incidents and end-user inquiries
- Guiding the team in developing, implementing, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling customer reports of issues including escalation protocols, root cause analysis, and resolution-reporting that satisfies customer service-level agreement requirements
- Marshaling a culture of continuous improvement, creativity and innovation, and untiring persistence in issues resolution
- Working when needed to fill in for other personnel during periods of absence
Job Requirements:
7 years’ experience in Network Operations Center maintenance and services delivery- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex technical issues, and to guide others in priority setting and problem-solving including crisis management, personnel communications, issues-tracking, triaging, and providing recommendations to customers and corporate leadership
- Experience communicating technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences
- Must possess IAT III, in coordination of IAWF DoD 8570.01M
