The Collections Specialist is responsible for conducting collection activities with customers. Works with management to make recommendations for payment terms, credit limit assessments and recommendations and handles complex payment-related communications of customers. Resolves challenging internal and external customer needs in a positive and professional manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Ensures the customer master data file is maintained completely and accurately.
- Contacts customers to collect on past due accounts.
- Performs customer account reconciliations and works directly with customers if needed to resolve any differences.
- Properly documents conversations and actions taken on customer accounts.
- Generates monthly statements for customers.
- Encounters and properly handles dissatisfied and unruly customers and is able to obtain diplomatic resolutions.
- Works cross-functionally with order administration, sales, and other departments and accountants to get duties and tasks completed.
- Process credit card payments
- Demonstrates commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of previous Collections experience.
- Experience establishing and modifying credit limits and negotiating payment plans, all while maintaining good customer relations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experiencing handling Reconciliations
- AR / Advanced Collections in Oracle

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $41,727- $50,132 base salary, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
