The Position
The Lower School Social Studies Department Chair will join Flint Hill at a time when the school is continuing to strengthen its social studies curriculum. Reporting to the Director of Academics and collaborating with an experienced team of Lower School department chairs, this leader will guide curriculum development, support faculty growth, and ensure the program reflects both academic excellence and the School's core values. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in elementary education, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to champion a vision for social studies that emphasizes inquiry-based learning. This role requires someone who can balance teaching responsibilities with departmental leadership while fostering a collaborative culture that supports both student and faculty growth.
