What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Control Analyst position at Strategic ACI?
Strategic ACI is seeking an on-site Project Control Analyst (PCA) to support the ongoing cost management of our important government projects. At Strategic ACI, our PCA’s are an essential member of the project management team. They assist the Project Manager in maintaining solid financial execution of assigned projects while enabling the PM to remain highly engaged with customer product and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze project revenue, expenses, and profitability, using both Unanet and Excel, to maintain forecasts and burn rates.
- Setup and enter the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Project Labor Categories (PLC), and funding updates in Unanet.
- Prepare and update various financial reports (cost overviews, funding status, labor graphs) for the project manager and customer.
- Identify and provide recommendations to the PM for any financial risks.
- Maintain the Labor and ODC budgets to ensure funding is understood by the PM.
- Process and manage the approval of travel requests, expense reports, and related costs in compliance with contract and FAR regulations.
- Setup new projects, open charge codes, and ensure proper cost allocation in Unanet in close coordination with the PM, Contracts and Accounting teammates.
- Maintain accurate project time tracking, monitoring timecards and coordinating corrections as needed.
- Enter A/P vouchers for all project related activity.
- Prepare A/R project billings for assigned contracts.
- Prepare project budgets, operating plans, and forecasts, leveraging Excel and other Office 365 tools for data analysis.
Qualifications:
Required:
- United States Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years' experience in the project control, financial, or business analysis/planning field. Preferably in the defense or government contract environment.
- OR a Master's Degree and 2 years of experience
- OR an Associate's Degree plus 6 years' experience
- OR 8 years experience
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning Software Systems such as Unanet.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS‐Excel.
