JOB TITLE: Analyst Intermediate

CLEARANCE: Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal), full time on-site
REPORTS TO: Strategic Planning Lead
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Intermediate Strategic Planning Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) General Counsel’s Office (GC) in Huntsville, Alabama. The analyst will support twenty-four (24) attorneys and their interaction with Agency Executives and Senior Leaders with day-to-day mission planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Responsible for reviewing staff packages using the Task Management Tool (ETMS2) for proper formatting, grammar, approval, signature, and completeness.
- Track all actions to reflect the most accurate status of assigned actions, coordinate between GC and other MDA departments, and verify Agency responses, ensuring all documentation is attached in the ETMS2 system, then appropriately close the actions.
- Receive, review, and analyze correspondence, delegating actions and information to the appropriate principals.
- Assist GC with Strategic Planning activities to include short-, medium- and long-term planning and management of calendars and organizational events.
- Support ETMS2 Action Officer meetings to monitor actions.
- Knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) timecard system and processing visitor access requests are a plus.
SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of providing expertise in Strategic Planning, Programmatic and Communication techniques and processes to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems. Mid-level working knowledge, skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years’ experience in administrative/business field; AA and 4 years’ experience in administrative/business field; or 10 years’ experience in administrative/business field
- Possess 2 years’ experience supporting CEO level military equivalent (Senior Executive Service (SES) or Flag Officer).
- Capable of executing day to day office operations and mission planning associated with senior executive level leadership including serving as an advisor and assisting with detailed planning of complex management projects, issues, and initiatives.
- Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Possess exceptionally strong writing skills
- MDA and ETMS2 knowledge and experience is significant plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Basic to Intermediate experience with MS Project is a plus
- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
