JOB TITLE: Analyst (Intermediate)

CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB)

REPORTS TO: On-site Government Program Executives

FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is Hiring an Intermediate Strategic Planning Analyst to support Agency Program Executives and Senior Leaders with day-to-day mission planning for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

SALARY: $90,000 - $105,000

  • Strategic Analyst to the Space Sensors (SS) office group.
  • Capable of delivering a high level of customer support and integration, handling several complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-spoken in both oral and written communication; strong technical writing skills
  • Strong understanding of the MDA ETMS2 processes
  • Review taskers and route to Action Officers for execution with little to no direction
  • Review staff packages appropriately (which includes accurately editing final products for relevance, grammar, and current SS considerations) and package for SS Front Office approval.
  • Possess or able to quickly possess an elevated understanding and experience of the SS Program Office to develop and refine PowerPoint presentations, documents and Talking Points for the Director, the MDA Program Executive for Programs and Integration, and SS Program Director.
  • Flexible to take on numerous duties for the customer and work as a team to accomplish the overall SS Mission
  • Support the customer in Performing as Master of Ceremonies for SS Executive events (Award Ceremonies, All Hands, Distinguished Guest visits, etc.).
  • Create, edit, and finalize the Weekly Report for a large, complex organization, to be used by the MDA Director and senior staff.
  • Assist customer with preparing executive reviews
  • Support the decision-making process by organizing attendance, classified and unclassified information, and capturing meeting notes.

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Capable of providing expertise in Strategic Planning, Programmatic and Communication techniques and processes to support stakeholder requirements. Has specialized relevant knowledge, works as a member of a team and assists with solving complex problems. Mid-level to Advanced working knowledge, skills and abilities using Microsoft Office and Adobe software suites is required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS and 3 years’ experience in administrative/business field; AA and 4 years’ experience in administrative/business field; or 10 years’ experience in administrative/business field.
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Possess exceptionally strong writing skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (TS/SCI clearance is desired)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
