JOB TITLE : Data Capture Technician

LOCATION : Washington DC (Pentagon- Hybrid Work Schedule)

REQUISITION # : NCR-1340-25-USSF COO

CLEARANCE REQUIRED : TS / SCI

REPORTS TO : SABG Program Manager

FLSA STATUS : Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY : SABG is seeking a Data Capture Technician to support Headquarters United States Space Force, Chief Operations Officer (HQ USSF / COO). COO is subject to the direction and control of the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) and directs the United States Space Force National Capital Region staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support the development and coordination of policies and governance to employ digital tools, effectively manage data, and enhance the information technology infrastructure
  • Support in implementing processes and procedures to identify, assess and reduce risk to critical capabilities / assets, systems, and infrastructure essential to the operation of DoD and Space Force mission objectives
  • Develop technical solutions to interpret and analyze mission assurance trends
  • Consolidate changes, trends and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems and instrumentation
  • Prepare briefings and reports on analysis methodology and results
  • Coordinate data collection and analysis among multiple stakeholders to analyze and update operations plans (OPLANs)

SUPERVISION : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree or better with two years’ experience. Experience equivalence are as follows : a bachelor's degree may be substituted with an additional 4 years’ experience, or a master s degree is equivalent. Cumulative years of college and experience may be combined.
  • Relevant experience related to performance of capturing data process documentation and information system schemes
  • ADDITIONAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience overseeing knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing, and accessibility of knowledge assets
  • Ability to design USSF HQ SharePoint sites, work with government to maintain centralized sites and databases to support Knowledge Management implementation
  • Excellent communication skills to provide USSF with analysis of current systems, articulate a Knowledge Management plan in addition to milestones and metrics for implementation
  • COMPUTER SKILLS :

  • Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office : Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
