JOB TITLE: Procurement Analyst (Basic)
REQUISITION: AL-1387-25-FLE
CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal)
REPORTS TO: On-Site Lead
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: The Procurement Analyst (Basic) will support customer requirements to meet customer established timelines and other related duties in support of the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Agency Operations - Facilities (AOF). This position requires approximately 80% telework and 20% on-site work.

- Comply with federal acquisition regulations and agency guidelines for government purchase cards
- Track and report status of purchases; identify order discrepancies, changes, cancellations, and dis-approvals
- Obtain documentation for purchases in compliance with federal acquisitions regulations and agency guidelines for government purchase cards
- Maintain and update customer database
- Conduct research and analyze data; prepare and maintain a variety of statistical reports, records and files
- Compose reports, procedures, and correspondence
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, no direct experience required, two years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
- Must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills to conduct planning and analysis, and trend analysis
- Must be a self-starter, detail
- oriented, able to support multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well within a team, interact with multiple levels of management, and be able to manage customer and contractor relationships
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Possess exceptionally strong MS Excel spreadsheet skills
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Skilled in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
- Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in MS Excel spreadsheets
CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
