Position Overview
Strategic ACI is seeking a Project Control Analyst (PCA) to support the ongoing cost management of our important government projects. At Strategic ACI, our PCA’s are an essential member of the project management team. They assist the Project Manager in maintaining solid financial execution of assigned projects while enabling the PM to remain highly engaged with customer product and service delivery.
Role And Responsibilities
- Track and analyze project revenue, expenses, and profitability, using both Unanet and Excel, to maintain forecasts and burn rates.
- Use Unanet to manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Project Labor Categories (PLC), and funding updates.
- Prepare and update various financial reports (cost overviews, funding status, labor graphs) for the project manager and customer.
- Identify and address financial risks, suggesting solutions to maintain project financial stability.
- Coordinate with the project manager on all requests and ensure adequate funding for all project tasks.
- Manage and approve travel budgets, expense reports, and related costs in compliance with contract and FAR regulations.
- Collaborate across the Accounting, and Contracts teams to set up new projects, open charge codes, and ensure proper cost allocation.
- Maintain accurate project time tracking, monitoring timecards and coordinating corrections as needed.
- Oversee subcontractor financial management, reviewing invoices, expenses, and vendor accuracy.
- Prepare budgets, operating plans, and forecasts, leveraging Excel and other Office 365 tools for data analysis.
Required Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required – Highly desired majors: Business Administration, Finance or Financial Management, Business Analysis or similar
- 2 ‐ 8 years' experience in the project control, financial or business analysis/planning, preferably in the defense or government contract environment
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning Software Systems such as Unanet
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS‐Excel
