Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) seeks a Senior Science and Technology (S&T) Analyst to support program administration, management, and oversight of basic research programs and priorities aimed toward ensuring the Department of Defense (DoD) is a leader in scientific discovery and identifying new paths for investigation.
Location : This is a hybrid position. On-site work with our government clients in the Mark Center of Alexandria, VA is anticipated to be two (2) days per month, and subject to change based on client requirements, classified processing, and in person meeting attendance.
As a Senior S&T Analyst - Basic Research, you will :
- Have regular contact with federal government leadership, as well as academia, and will work both independently and collaboratively to analyze, assess, and evaluate DoD RDT&E 6.1 programs and investments, such as graduate fellowship programs for scientists and engineers, university research initiatives and equipment awards, international and small business technology transition efforts.
- Assist in program oversight and coordination activities related to defense basic research.
- Maintain broad situational awareness of R&D efforts involving basic research, to include interagency coordination.
- Organize research reviews, working group meetings, and user groups.
- Develop technical content and agendas for programmatic reviews and engagements.
- Provide input for policy formulation through research, analysis, and external coordination.
- Prepare weekly reports, information papers, memoranda, and other documentation for DoD-wide dissemination.
- Assist in goal setting for the BRO and provide continuous assessment of program progress toward established goals.
- Develop unfunded requirement papers, POM issue papers, briefings, and other programmatic material.
- Some travel within the continental U.S. may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance : An active DoD SECRET clearance is required.
Education : A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required; a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or related discipline is preferred.
