The Sr. Workday Reporting Analyst is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of Workday reporting and dashboard solutions. This role ensures the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of reports and dashboards, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The Sr. Workday Reporting Analyst will work with the key HR leaders / teams to understand the proposed design of Workday reporting solutions and impact on providing reports to users, both US and globally as needed. They will collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders, including Functional Leads and SMEs, to gather reporting requirements for all reports and build new custom reports using standard Workday reporting functionality such as Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and Discovery Boards. The role includes analyzing Workday-delivered reports to determine whether current reports can be leveraged / configured or if new custom reports are required. This role may also participate in data analysis and research projects to solve problems and provide actionable insights for organizational decision-making, and help establish reporting standards to support data governance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports, including advanced, composite, and matrix reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Analyze existing Workday-delivered reports to determine whether current reports can be leveraged / configured or if new custom reports are required.
- Utilize available Workday tools and functionality such as Report Writer, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, and Discovery Boards, to build datasets, and design custom solutions to visualize data and meet business needs.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements, translate them into Workday solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare HR metrics and insights to be presented upon request or on schedule by senior leadership.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data through effective validation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build real-time, actionable reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of reports and dashboards, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with Workday releases to identify and leverage new reporting and insights features and enhancements.
- Provide user training and support to stakeholders on using and interpreting Workday reports and analytics.
- Partner with other Workday leads in US and abroad, and project teams, to align reporting efforts with ongoing implementations and optimizations.
- Partner and build relationships with stakeholders to align on objectives and advance Workday adoption and ease of use.
- As needed, extract, analyze, and support data visualization and insights to assist business segments with making changes to policies, procedures, and business practices.
