What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Operations Specialist position at Strategic Education?
The Technical Operations Specialist manages and optimizes the daily activities of maintaining and improving the handling of Information Security Governance Controls within the engineering teams in the Education Technology Services (ETS) division of SEI, focusing on Sophia and Workforce Edge.
As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance, process change documentation, managing vendor service renewals, and support for internal audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist with compliance audits and risk assessments
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance and operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Participate in the development and implementation of best practices, policies, and standards.
- Participate as a team member in the Information Security Governance Committees for Workforce Edge and Sophia.
- Assist with the management of third-party systems.
- Support the onboarding and off boarding process for engineering team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and documentation.
- Partner with clients to setup integrations, including data sharing and Single Sign On.
- Partner with education providers to enable configurations and integrations into the platform.
