We Partnered with a leading commercial services provider in the Washington, D.C. region They are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team in downtown Bethesda. Reporting to the SVP of Finance, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight, shaping our financial operations.
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement accounting methods and policies.
Lead, manage, and develop a large accounting team.
Recruit and hire top talent.
Ensure timely completion of financial processes.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation strongly preferred but not required (MBA or other relevant advanced degree a plus)
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Deep understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
